Experience: 8 to 12 yrs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing the daily accounting activities required to maintain the Company's general ledger. 
  • Preparing and reviewing the work including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, account statement reconciliations, accounts receivable and payables, payroll management, recording of revenue and expenses
  • Cash management
  • Maintaining organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.
  • Resolving complex accounting issues. Reviewing accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting.
  • MIS Reporting: Prepare MIS Reports, on revenue / project costs , as desired by the management
  • Producing quarterly and annual financial statements and ad hoc financial reports.
  • Making and implementing recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures.
  • Liasoning with bankers, auditors and tax authorities

Interested Candidates should have the following skills, knowledge and abilities:
  • Knowledge of various accounting laws, rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of various and taxation laws. 
  • Knowledge of VAT is essential.
  • General accounting and office software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, Tally, and use of databases.
  • Effective communication: verbal and written English.
  • Ability to negotiate various facilities with banks with regard to funding requirements for on going projects, import finance facility, lease facility for vehicles and machinery, term loans and bill discounting facilities.
  • Experience of working in telecom industry is preferably
  • Experience of working in Cameroon is preferably
  • Knowledge of French language is preferable
