Business Controller - BSP
In line with our rapid expansion within the Eastern African region, BSP is looking for an energetic, ambitious and committed professional who want s to build their career in finance and accounting.
As a critical member of the finance team, the successful candidate will provide financial support to oversee this growth ensuring profitability and a sound control environment
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be based in Nairobi.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Preparing and monitoring annual budgets, forecasts and implementing company priorities in line with group strategy.
Developing accounting policies and procedures to meet both current and future business models
Preparing and maintaining financial reports and tax returns for both internal use and for stakeholders
Responsibility for stocks management to ensure optimal stock holding and best practice controls.
Reviewing and approving accounting entries
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in business related field with a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent),
Minimum 3 years experience in a busy and reputable commercial organization
Good ICT knowledge, especially in an ERP environment and proficiency in spreadsheets
Knowledge of IFRS
Good reporting and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work within strict deadlines and pressure.
