is looking to fill in a position of a Junior Environmental
Engineer/Consultant in its newly opened operational office in Atyrau,
Western Kazakhstan.

Overview:
This is the entry level for environmental/social consultants or environmental engineers. Tasks focus of fieldwork (e.g. sampling) and assisting more senior colleagues in project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute technical roles in environmental and social projects (focus on fieldwork)
Maintain and calibrate field equipment
Coordinate with labs and drillers
Produce draft project deliverables (e.g. technical memos) for assigned tasks
Observe health & safety rules in projects
Learn about the technical aspects of a wide range of Environmental Group services
Skills:
Actual project experience (up to 2 years) in field of specialization (e.g. contaminated site investigation, biodiversity studies, social impact assessments)
Interpersonal and communication skills
Basic skills with computer software (MS Office) and other specialized software (GIS, environmental modeling, etc.) needed to perform tasks
Qualifications:
A graduate with a higher-education diploma in the relevant field (Environmental Engineering, Social Sciences or similar)
Relevant work experience
English language (intermediate technical as a minimum)
Basic knowledge of the environmental legislation (Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other applicable by-laws and regulations)
Basic knowledge of Environmental protection methodologies and pertinent documents (instructions, rules, methods etc.)
Basic knowledge of EIS (OVOS), PDS, PDO, PDV
Basic knowledge of regulatory system, i.e. Environmental Protection authorities, procedures for submitting and approving Environmental reports and documents
