Role Statement :-

Manage and coordinate knit production operations in facility to ensure compliance within the established production schedules, standard costs, specifications and quality standards. Candidate must have experience with managing Thai staff as well as working with foreigner's requirements. Manager must have initiatives and be a great leader.

Purpose and Scope: Manage knitting production.

Responsibilities :-
Manage and coordinate knit production operations in facility to ensure compliance within the established production schedules, standard costs, specifications and quality standards.
Direct, plan and develop implementation and maintenance of approved programs and courses of action geared toward the achievement of production, quality and budget standards to ensure efficient operations.
Responsible for using lean principles and operating practices to establish, maintain and improve the value that the value stream delivers to its customers.
Manage the knitting department efforts, assuring responsibility for production quality, cost and delivery.
Develop and execute a workflow plan that reflects the demand forecast.
Manage the knitting production schedules to ensure maximum efficiency.
Ensure accurate inventory control procedures.
Ensure the raw materials and finished goods always meet customer requirements.
Ensure the departments equipment is maintained to optimal levels of operation.
Ensure compliance with the required health, environment & safety policies.
Directs the Knitting supervisors responsible for managing and operating the Knitting Department
Responsible for using lean principles and operating practices to establish, maintain and improve the value that the value stream delivers to its customers.
Directs knit production activities to assure that products are produced within the established cost control and quality standards.
Controls knit production operating costs within approved budgets by evaluating actual expenditures with budgeted costs, taking appropriate action if necessary to accurately project operating expenses.
Staffs the Knitting Department with qualified personnel.
Ensures that Companys Safety Programs are followed and maintained by reviewing routine and spot-check reports, taking corrective action of any deficiencies to eliminate safety hazards.
Ensures an effective housekeeping program throughout the Knitting Department.
Directs the administration of personnel activities in the Knitting Department in coordination with the Production Manager and Human Resources Manager to insure that company personnel policies and procedures are properly administered

Job Requirements :-
10 years experience in knitting.
Proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
Thai and English language skills

Essential Tasks :-
Daily and weekly meetings with various departments
Review production schedule
Resolve problems that staff cannot fix by themselves
Resolve knitting Problems
Report progress to owner
Audit internal processes
Teach & train production process to staff

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :-
Previous experience with knitting of circular cotton fabric required
Experience with a start-up facility and large scale operations
Excellent leadership and management skills
Knowledge and execution of lean manufacturing
Budgeting experience
Undergraduate or equivalent degrees in textile or engineering
Strong communication/interpersonal skills
Willing to relocate to Chiang Mai

Special Physical Requirements :-
Domestic and International travel as needed.
Light lifting.

Organizational Relationships :-
Reports to owner
Cross functional interaction with team in Canada and USA.
Interactions with Thai customers and suppliers.
