Working in our Mumbai office you will have the opportunity to work as part of the design team delivering iconic Residential and Mixed Use Development projects, in partnership with some of the world's leading Architects. Predominantly you will be supporting the design of Indian and Middle Eastern projects in the areas of engineering master planning, new townships, high-rise residential and commercial buildings, as well as sport & leisure developments.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as Job Leader-Mechanical (HVAC and Plumbing, Fire Fighting) and in some circumstances as Project Leader -MEP Building Services.
Operate and work competently on an independent basis
Manage independently single or multi-disciplinary projects
Independently and successfully Manage relationships with Clients, Architects
Prepare technical and financial proposals for new work.
Plan and monitor job resourcing/expenditure/deadlines and adjust as necessary
Manage and lead Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians.
Prepare and take responsibility for Mechanical (HVAC and Plumbing, Fire Fighting) engineering design- Concept, Scheme, Design Development, Tender Design / Documentation (including Technical Specification, BOQ, Schedules and Drawings) and Construction Administration.
Prepare design reports
Check/verify other team members work.
Monitor financial performance of jobs.
Be alive to new project opportunities.
Set up and manage job/project administrative systems.
Ensure senior staffs are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the client are achieved.
Ensuring all relevant BH staffs are informed of client matters.
Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the clients best interests and that BH policy is in keeping with current legislation, Standards and Codes of Practice etc.
Commitment to CPD and self learning / development.
Design to current legislation and Codes of Practice.
Mentor and assist Graduate Engineers.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Eight + years of relevant hands on working experience in design with reputed MEP Design Consultancy with either a Bachelors degree in Engineering (BEng) or Masters degree in Engineering (MEng).

Job Purpose:

Working on various projects within a multi-disciplinary Integrated Building Group, reporting to the head of Building Services.

High-rise project experience.
Ideally should have experience of sustainability led developments.
Corporate membership of a relevant institution.
Good IT skills comprising Microsoft Office, HVAC Cooling Load Software (E-20, Trane Trace, IES etc.), AutoCAD and Sketch up.
Good Leadership skills.
Good communication skills, experience in dealing with other employees and external clients.
Confident, proactive character, with a track record of taking the lead in challenging situations.
Ability to run projects successfully.
