We have immediate requirement in Germany for Differential Component Engineer in Automotive domain.
10+ years of experience to handle concept, design, prototype, validate and product launch.
DRE Differential:
Scope of Work:
Design and release differential components and systems for manual transmissions.
Handover of complete differential DRE responsibility for one transmission family planned.
In Detail:
Coordination of design activities on component ad system level with respect to package, subsystem technical specification, function, design guidelines (BoD, BoM) etc.
Coordination of layout and release drawings, definition of drawing contents
In-time release of components and subsystems within E2 system
Definition of input data and boundary conditions for simulation, initiation of simulation activities and review results
Perform FMEAs and initiate/perform actions for risk reduction
Definition of KPCs and PQCs in collaboration with ME and suppliers
Definition and execution of cost reduction actions
Align component design with other GM or Powertrain regions
Support of serial production and continuation of product development
Execution of and participation in design meetings
Continuous communication with ME, MO, other departments and suppliers
Issue of SORs (statement of requirements)
Participation in global PMT meetings
Skills:
University degree in mechanical engineering (master or bachelor) or similar qualification
Basic knowledge of manual transmission
Knowledge of differential components and systems (design, inspection, quality characteristics, etc.)
Professional experience in product development / Powertrain
Good knowledge about GM processes
Good knowledge of MS-Office, Lotus Notes, E2, PRTS, FMEA process
Good English skills
Motivated, flexible and accountable
Ability to work in teams and to assert oneself
