Reports to: Construction Manager for Switch
Location: The Electrical Manager for the Switch will be based in Yangon
Myanmar. The post involves travel to other parts of the Country, such as Mandalay or other locations as required.
Program Overview:
Company is a Telecommunications operator working towards being awarded one of the two licenses on the National Bid in Myanmar to offer Telecommunications services. Company has operations in different markets in the Caribbean and in Asia Pacific area.
Purpose of the Role:
The electrical Manager for the Switch has responsibility in the construction phaseto organize and manage all activities as necessary, set, define and oversee the design of the overall power solutions required for the Switch running.
Prepare the budgets and project plan for all the electrical solutions for the Switch ensuring the scheduled dates are met and within budget.
Specific Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed forward planning of work commitments and duties, identify all appropriate staff requirements needed moving forward.
Ensure that sub-contractors are supervised and their standard of work is acceptable and incompliance with recognized safety practices and agreed specifications.
Responsible for the installation of all telecoms equipment, switches, nodes, AC and DC power distribution, generators, batteries etc.
Ensure that Electrical materials, plant and equipment is used effectively and efficiently.
Control and effectively manage all the equipment installations in a safe manner and a quality installation, give instruction, advice and approval as requested.
Liaise with other Company departmental staff, potential client departments, sub-contractor managers, suppliers and statutory authorities in matters relating to work as appropriate and all relevant standards.
To action any matters arising in the running of the Switch Centre construction, reporting to the GM on all activities.
