PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strict implementation of all HSEQ policies and procedures.
Facilitates the processing of all documentary and statutory requirements with the local government authorities.
Constantly updates policies on changing statutes specifically those governing the local environment (e.g. Borouge, Industrial Area, Abu Dhabi government, etc.) and global trends in general.
Prepares and compiles periodic Safety Inspection} Audit Reports and submits them to the client.
Reports to Borouge Terminal Manger and local authorities accidents that necessitate hospital visit, loss of life and those resulting to substantial damage to property,
Reports all Lost Time Accidents (LTA), Near Miss and Restricted Work Cases (RWC) in the Knowledge Management System (KMS) Investigator module and follows up status thereof.
Ensures that timely and frequent inspection, testing and certification are conducted on all equipment as per requirements stipulated in the contract.
Monitors and observes re-ordering stocking levels of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment (e.g. fire extinguishers, safety harness, etc.)
Chairs and presides all joint Safety Investigation with Borouge and local authorities if necessary.
Reports to Operations Manager
Supervises HSE Shift Inspectors
Working Relationships
1. Supervisor
Reports to and gets direct instructions from the Contract Manager
2. Colleagues
Coordination with Department Managers / team leaders and various supervisors on HSEQ related matters.
3. External
Constant coordination with Borouge Terminal Management Team
Minimum Qualifications
College graduate preferably Industrial or Mechanical Engineering/ marine / shipping graduate
At least five (5) years HSE&Q experience in the same capacity with last three (3) years to be in container terminals administration
Proven capability to implement safety policies to a big organization in a multicultural environment
Relevant courses and trainings from internationally accredited safety organizations
Excellent presentation skills
Extensive network with local authorities and the industry in general
Excellent communication skills in both oral and written, bilingual preferred
Physically fit
