1) Understanding the requirements and designs for new modules/sub-modules. Requirements will often come from customer service departments.
2) Contributing to technical design and impact analysis for the new features/enhancements
3) End to end coding and unit testing. This will involve the coding for database (SQL), middleware (JAVA) and frontend (ADOBE Flex, HTML5)
4) As a senior programmer, the person will generally be given the responsibility of a sufficiently large chunk of work and will be expected to work with a team. He will also be responsible for his team-members' delivery and will be expected to provide technical guidance.
