HVAC Plumbing Engineer

Job Description
Mid level mechanical engineer is responsible for execution of projects with minimal involvement of principal engineers, including project management, client relationship management, conceptual design reports and evaluations, schematic design through construction documents and construction administration. Depending on experience and project needs, the successful candidate will also be responsible for delegating work to junior engineers and designers and coordination with other in-house and external trades.
Project mix is highly varied between mission critical, healthcare, aerospace/aviation, commercial, institutional, and government, and generally is focused more on technically-driven projects rather than "production" projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the engineering fundamentals and an aptitude to learn new material as needs dictate.
Systems to be designed include air-side and water-side HVAC (air handlers, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, piping and ductwork, etc.), plumbing, fire protection, and BMS.
The position is focused on long-term growth and opportunity for an engineer that wants to move towards both management and technical excellence.

Electrical Engineer


Experience: 10 to 11 yrs.  |  Opening(s): 7


Qualification : Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Experience : Candidate should have minimum 10 years site experience in basic design requirements, fabrication, estimation, installation and all site activities related to all electrical works for construction of large-scale building projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. 
Generally responsible for implementations and monitoring of all electrical related works at site.
Estimates, prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all electrical and related works prior to execution.
Plans and analyses all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options to the Asst. Project Manager for approval prior to execution at site.
Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.
Manages directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all the electrical work groups at site.
Plans the execution of all electrical related works and coordinates the works to mechanical and civil groups.
Coordinates with Client / Consultants representatives for any site instructions and inspection of works.
Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on daily basis for all electrical groups at site.
Submits site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required.
Supports the Asst. Project Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the electrical groups at site. 
Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.
Directly responsible for the safety of all electrical groups personnel of the project by ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.

Civil Foreman


Experience: 5 to 6 yrs.  |  Opening(s): 10


Qualification : Diploma

Experience : Candidate should have minimum 4-6 years experience in related field.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Leads and controls skilled labor and work crews engaged in all activities concerned with the civil works aspects of the project. Ability to optimize resources (manpower, equipment and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of the works. Able to demonstrate good organizational skills, following policies, procedures and work practices, and developing improvements where necessary.
2. Ability to read, interpret and follow method statements and procedures. Competent in reading and understanding specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation. Keeps records of all work completed and completion of Action Lists.
3. Commands respect of his workforce, and develops excellent working relationships with all other department personnel as well as client management.
4. Must be a good communicator. Able to give instructions in an efficient and effective way to his workforce. Liaises with other discipline foremen to ensure the optimum utilization of available work, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
5. Leads and supervises workers engaged in the construction of buildings and other civil works and assists the Civil supervisor in the coordination and performance or related activities such as foundation laying, concrete forming, masonry and bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing, piping and ductwork, installation of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems, plastering and painting, etc.
6. Ability to read and interpret blue-prints, including excavation dimensions, pipe and re-bar angles, concrete mixtures, location and placement of pipe sections, positioning and installation of windows, doors and other openings.
7. Ensures that work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment and materials. Prevents wastage and misuse of equipment, materials and tools. Supervises work crews to best utilize manpower and materials, exercises discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
8. Familiar with all Company safety and QA/QC procedures, regulations and strictly enforces them with the workforce under his responsibility.
9. Identifies, formulates and implements on-the-job training programs for the workforce under his responsibility.

Safety Officers


Experience: 5 to 6 yrs.  |  Opening(s): 8


Qualification : Bachelor's degree required, preferably in technical or scientific field related to a safety discipline.

Experience : Candidate should have minimum of 5 years experience in construction safety. 
Key Responsibilities : 
Provides field oversight of construction and renovation projects.
Communicates safety requirements to contractors in pre-bid walkthroughs and pre-construction meetings, reviews contractor safety plans, monitors contractor compliance with major program elements, reviews site conditions during project inspections, and produces inspection reports.
Working with the Senior Construction Safety Officer, participates in the development of project-related construction safety elements, including University design requirements, construction-related specifications, requests for proposals, contractor and consultant pre-qualification, regulatory interpretation, training program development, inspections, program quality criteria, and assessment tools.
Review project specific construction project design documents and specifications. Provide comments and recommendations with respect to: compliance with Environmental Health and Safety Guidelines for Design, opportunities to incorporate minimal fabrication changes to permit safer construction methods and designs that might create problems for the safe use, operation and maintenance of the new structure.
Participates in the development of construction safety training programs. Delivers construction safety training as required.
Assess contractor safety performance and provide feedback to Senior Construction Safety Officer to assist in maintaining a "preferred list" of contractors based upon specific safety performance.
Provides regular reports to Project Managers and Contractors regarding safety program implementation and compliance. Attends construction meetings as necessary.
Participates in accident and incident investigation and post-incident review meetings as necessary. Reports findings to Senior Construction Safety Officer and clients and develops strategies for mitigating the recurrence of similar incidents across the University.
Assists in the response to construction site safety inspections by OSHA, Massachusetts Department of Labor and Work Force Development, and local municipalities' inspectional services departments as necessary.
Performs trend analysis and provides reports and metrics of assigned projects to the Senior Construction Safety Officer to facilitate analysis of construction safety program status and effectiveness.
