Your tasks
- Maintain / Administer/ Install /Upgrade our Issuing applications in QA/Test/Production environments
- Monitor applications proactively using implemented tools (Nagios) or design custom-made monitoring scripts to ensure critical functions are always available
- Develop operational and administrative tools using shell scripts, Perl, PL/SQL as well as other scripting languages
- Process change requests and investigative application issues received via internal ticketing systems (3rd Level Support)
- Create and maintain SQL reports
- Working with Control-M to design intelligent batch programs that take into account all criteria such as deadlines, dependencies, test logic, notifications and performance
- Maintain configuration and operational documents for the applications
- Work closely with infrastructure teams to communicate application system requirements
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations during the launch or integration of new applications
- Define performance and availability SLAs and implement monitoring solutions to adhere to them
- On-call duty outside of working hours (including nights and weekends) for all applications - to begin only after training is complete
Your profile
- Bachelor"s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or several years of equivalent work experience
- Strong Linux skills and multiple years of experience administering applications in a Linux environment
- Very good knowledge of Oracle SQL and the ability to create complicated reports in a relational database
- Ability to create scripts in a variety of scripting languages (PL/SQL, Perl, Shell) and to constantly seek automated solutions for common processes
- Ability to grasp complex dependencies between multiple systems and make decisions accordingly
- Strong knowledge of monitoring tools, such as Nagios, and the ability to design and implement new monitoring checks
- Multiple years of experience with Java application containers, such as Tomcat and Weblogic
- Desired skills / experience: high-availability concepts, basic Java knowledge, Puppet, RPM, subversion tools
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Self-motivated and able to think independently
- An agile Team player
