Background and Purpose of the Job
The CPD Organization was formed on September 2011 with the aim of being a centre of excellence for project delivery in company; enhancing standardization, repeatability and dissemination of lessons learned across projects as well as the application of best practices. Particular emphasis will be placed on risk and change management, and good project controls. CPDM will execute all projects which exceed US$ 200 million (facilities CAPEX) or projects of high complexity, or new technology or have high strategic or reputational importance.
Company is developing a series of technically challenging EOR (MGI) and sour projects for sustained oil and gas production from a complex set of fields. The EOR and Sour projects includes the development of oilfields and gas fields with of approximately 2bln BoE. The Project includes the execution of the Miscible Gas Injection building of sour facilities and the development of the gas and oil fields.
The incumbent heads the team of Risk and Management of Change Engineers. He is a key member of the CPD Project Services team .He is responsible to provide direction, systems, processes, tools and training for Risk and Management of Change across Central Project delivery teams. Support and provide guidance in managing the Shell CTRs for the CPD.
Experience/Qualifications Needed
Technical Professional, with a minimum of 12 years senior experience in Planning, Risk management and Project Management of Oil & Gas projects.
Educated to Degree level in Engineering or Project Management.
Experience in managing and the personnel development of multi discipline teams of senior project services personnel.
Proficient user of Primavera P6, Primavera Risk, Easy Risk, and @Risk. Knowledge and understanding of the SAP cost control and procurement modules. A good knowledge of probabilistic cost and schedule analysis.
High analytical skills with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Good reports writing skills.
High ability to work with Management as well as in multi-disciplinary project engineering teams.
Detailed understanding and knowledge of Major Oil & Gas business control processes, procedures & systems.
Project engineering experience in a multidiscipline project will be an advantage.
Track-record to deliver and a 100% can do/will do mentality (with full HSE commitment).
Excellent people management and communication skills.
Experienced in change management and risk management.
Fluent in both verbal and written English.
