JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Should have a Standard of Training Certification & watch keeping of the International Maritime organisation (IMO) – (IMO STCW 1995) or its equivalent. 
2. Having an adequacy certificate that might be issued by a recognized authority in accordance with the Chapter III of the code number 4/III- STCW 95 and must be attested by the Ministry of Communication – State of Kuwait. 
3. Should have all of the required Certificates in accordance which Chapter VI of (STCW 95) issued by an Authority recognized pursuant to the said Agreement. 
4. The Efficiency criterions referred to in (Section A III /4) of (STCW) should be applicable of the candidate. 
5. The Age of the Applicant should be ranging between 20 years old and 45 years old and must enjoy the necessary Health fitness in accordance with the Criteria and conditions that might be defined by KOTC 
6. Having an Academic and Training Certificate from Mechanical & Electrical Workshops Affiliated to a recognized institute or having a Maritime Certificate that might be issued by a Ship confirming that the candidate was involved in an Engineering & Mechanical tasks on board of the Ships 
7. Having a necessary Certificate that might be required to prove his Experience as a Mechanic on the Board of Ship/Boat for a period not less than 5 Years in addition to a good conduct Certificate

JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Should have a Standard of Training Certification & watch keeping of the International Maritime organisation (IMO) – (IMO STCW 1995) or its equivalent. 
2. Having an Adequacy Certificate that might be issued by a recognized authority in accordance with the Chapter II of the code number 11/3. STCW 95 relates to the Ships to be used in the Coastal Voyages, provided that the required Certificate must be duly rectified by the Ministry of Communication-State of Kuwait. 
3. The Applicant should have a Caption Certificate “A/B” issued by the Ministry of Communication-State of Kuwait. 
4. Having the Certificate required in accordance with the Chapter VI of (STCW 95) Agreement and issued by an authorized power pursuant to this agreement 
5. To meet the special conditions stipulated in Chapter IV of (STCW 95) Agreement relates to the Employees of the wireless Radio Telecommunication 
6. Should have completed the necessary Education and Training that might be accredited in accordance with the criterions referred to in the item (Section A11/3) of (STCW 95) Agreement relates the ships weighing less than 500 Tons and mostly used for Coastal voyages and in accordance with the other conditions that might be required by the Ministry of Communication-Kuwait. 
7. The Applicant must be Aging between 20 to 50 years old and should have Health Certificate in accordance with the conditions that might be defined by KOTC 
8. Having an Experience Certificate as Captain that no less than (3) years along with the good contact certificate 
9. Having “a Seaman book” issued by the country of Origin or equivalent. 
10. Must be conversant in the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code – ISPS 
11. Should have Health fitness Certificate in accordance with (STCW 95) prior to joining the Job at KOTC 
12. Should have the ability to use the Magnetic Compass and the Auto Pilot Equipment 
13. Having a Blanket experience in Boats Drill 
14. Having experience in using the Marine Rescue Equipment 
15. Having an experience in Application of First Aid System on the board of the Boat 
16. Conversant in the International Ship and Port Facility Security-ISPS
17. Conversant in how to protect the Maritime environment from the contamination and how to fight the latter.
