Education Qualification / Years of Experience:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution. At least 5 years working experience in the maintenance of upstream Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
Summary:
Familiar with Offshore permit to work system.
Carries out repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of various types of Electrical Equipment such as Main Power HV Generators, LV Emergency Generators, HV switchboards (VCB, ACB, Vacuum contactor cubicles), LV switchboards (ACB), HV/LV motors upto 500Kw and associated control gears and etc. installed on Production stations.
Carries out repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of AC and DC Uninterrupted power supply units and associated batteries.
Familiar with motor bearing replacement including HV motors with rating upto 500Kw.
Carries out installation of cables, glanding and terminations.
Capable of carrying out necessary isolations/ de-isolations as needed including HV and LV Switchgears.
Familiar with motor bearing replacement including HV motors with rating upto 500Kw.
Prepares the equipment and work site to carry out routine and breakdown maintenance e.g. arrange proper tools for the work and completes the work in a safe manner.
Carries out HV Generator synchronizing and loading with guidance from Electrical engineer.
Coordinates with the Electrical Engineer and other trade Engineers and Technicians and Production Supervisors and Technicians to execute daily maintenance programme safely and effectively.
Reports to the Electrical Engineer and operates in accordance to the established maintenance procedures and craft standards.
