1. Preparation of statutory accounts, financial statements in accordance with IFRS accounting standards, guidelines and statues including the production of financial returns as required, i.e. Government, etc.

2. To assist in the production of the annual budget in consultation with other staff across the organization, providing reporting mechanisms to facilitate overall budgetary control.

3. To maintain a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, accounting policy, practice and current developments and advise the General Manager on relevant implications.

4. To manage, develop and maintain all financial systems and internal controls and provide advice and training to budget holders and staff within the organization on finance related procedures, issues and budgetary control.

5. To assist in preparing the annual departmental plan and review, ensuring the effective allocation of work and efficient use of resources.

6. To manage and develop the staff within the finance team through staff supervision, appraisal, coaching and monitoring.

7. Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for all segments, and oversee all financial, project/program and Tally accounting. 

8. Coordinate and lead the annual audit process liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors; assess any changes necessary.

9. Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.

10. Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/ reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements.

11. Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department’s overall policy and procedure manual.

12. Effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to the General Manager.


1. Minimum of a B.A., ideally with an MBA/CPA or related degree

2. At least 7-10 years of overall professional experience; ideally 6+ years of broad financial and operations management experience

3. Ability to translate financial concepts to – and to effectively collaborate with colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds

4. Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing Tally ERP 9 software.

5. Commitment to training programs that maximize individual and organization goals across the organization including best practices.

6. A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making

7. Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

8. A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment
