TITLE: Fire Fighting Specialist
EXPERIENCE: 9+ YEARS to 20 YEARS

JOB DESCRIPTION:-
1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
a) Supervising fire-fighting and emergency activities in company, QVC, QATOFIN & Talke areas.
b) Ensure that fire fighting staff follows the written fire fighting rules and procedures.
c) Dealing with emergency as a first line supervisor arranging firefighting training programs, reliability of all firefighting facilities, fire station housekeeping and fire and emergency drills.
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
a) Supervises fire-fighting and emergency activities in company, QVC, QATOFIN & Talke. Participates in providing first aid or in taking emergency actions dictated by the situation
b) Manages and supervises the activities of assigned personnel in the Firefighting.
c) Develops, discuss and obtain approval of fire and emergency programs and procedures and formulates a monthly drill schedule for all fire fighting teams. Ensures that such procedures and regulations are communicated to all on-site personnel. Attends drills, audits and presents recommendations for improvement. Prepares and scheduled periodical emergency fire drills within compnay and QVC, QATOFIN & Talke.
d) Investigates all fire incidents involving company and contractors' personnel, coordinating such investigations, where necessary, with the plants. Analyses causes, determines future actions to reduce these occurrences and prepares and distributes reports on all such incidents
e) Sets up and supervise procedures related to the maintenance of all fire and emergency equipment. Ensures that effective records are kept and updated for fire and emergency equipment.
f) Ensures that firefighting equipment is suitable for the fire hazards in the Company and it is properly maintained. Including prepares and updates inspection check lists for subordinates, follows up as necessary and takes necessary action
g) Provides the weekly, monthly and yearly fire fighting reports, prepares the yearly action plan and ensure that all actions are implemented during the year
h) Coordinates firefighting activities with the Mesaieed Fire Brigade and MIC, ensures the continued level of awareness of all assigned personnel, completes monthly activity reports and annual statistics of fire and fire damage losses
i) Prepares appropriate development programs and training plans for all firefighting section personnel.
3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in Firefighting and prevention engineering or equivalent
9 years' varied experience in fire and emergency matters within an oil, gas or petrochemical industry environment, including at least 4 years previous supervisory experience
Good spoken and written English
Computer literate
