    Qualifications and experience: 

    • Bachelors / Masters Degree in Management Information Systems / Computer Sciences / Information Technology essential
    • 12 - 15 years of experience in Information Technology / Systems with a wide experience in management of Application Systems, Technical Support Systems and Network Security and Infrastructure
    • 4-5 years of managerial experience of heading IT operations in a shopping centre / real estate / hospitality business environment or multi-location business exceeding 500 employees.

    Job purpose Head of Information Technology 

    Drive and implement information systems and technology solutions to 
    (1) drive customer experience and (2) Organisational efficiency

    Strategy: 
    Set the strategic direction of Information Systems and Technology by short-and long-term planning for IT management and evaluating the corresponding business risks
    Direct and coordinate strategic and operational plans for meeting current and future information and technology needs for the Company
    Use technological advancements and new products with innovative ideas to connect with our customers and thereby increase retail sales of our tenants
    Guide the operating departments in use of technology to solve business problems or create competitive advantage by promoting analytical and business skill approach to the end users and customers
    Lay out, present and get management ratification on the annual IT budget
    Review the budget at regular intervals and appraise the management on quality and quantum of utilization
    Guide analysis, planning, evaluation, design and implementation of Information Systems that address business issues
    Build, direct and develop the IT Team utilising strong team building skills and management techniques to facilitate the roll out of new systems and technologies required by the business
    Scout for IT and technical implementation partner relationships and oversee business case preparation, analysis, evaluation and contracting of potential partnership opportunities
    Provide strategic inputs on technological requirements of new projects under development

    Infrastructure Network and Security 
    Develop and enforce policy and procedures to ensure the protection of IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the company
    Promote company wide assimilation of IT infrastructure in day to day activities so as to optimize the utilization for the achievement of companys objectives
    Develop and maintain the company wide IT network and ensure connectivity of all malls under management 

    Help Desk and Technology Support: 
    Operates a policy of fast resolution of problems, with a service-oriented approach throughout the department and a service level agreement policy and putting procedures in place
    Evaluate and approve network and PC system upgrades
    Maintain a current knowledge of developments in Information Technology of relevance to Shopping Mall industry and initiate and implement solutions to increase retail sales

    Scope: 
    Currently operating 5 shopping malls and another 8-10 projects in pipeline. Responsible for shortlisting, inducting and maintaining all the IT requirements which includes (but not limited to) : CCTV systems, Footfall counting systems, Car Park systems, Digital Signage, BMS Systems, Oracle ERP (Property Management and Financial modules), Website and Social Media maintenance, computers and IT / Telecom infrastructure etc.

    Job interactions with: 
    Senior Management : For interacting with them to decide upon strategic and operational plans for the IT department, aligned with the overall business strategy of the company
    Heads of Department : For understanding infrastructure requirements, identification of applications to be developed and providing necessary support
    Finance Team : For financial planning and securing budgetary approvals and clearing of payments to vendors and service providers.
    Industry Associations : For keeping abreast of technological changes and innovations
    Vendors / Consultants : For evaluating solutions, negotiating contracts and determining service level agreements. Also for timely procurement of critical high value hardware and software.
