- The Opportunity :The appointee will be required to Head the Technical, Vocational Education and Training Sections of the School of Education, coordinate the TVET programmes and be involved in other related curriculum studies and teacher education courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The appointee is expected to conduct research and contribute to Research Leadership in TVET, engage in consultancy work and develop and present online courses using the Online platform.
- The Person We Seek:Applicants must have:
- A PhD qualification degree specializing in Technical Vocational Education and Training, with either a formal tertiary teaching qualification or good relevant tertiary level teaching experience (normally an aggregate of 4 years).
- Applicants must also have a significant research and publication record, understanding of the Pacific Island context and the ability to take consultancy in Educational Research and Teacher Education.
- Experience in working in a diverse and multicultural context will be an advantage.
Experience in teaching through flexible and online learning modes including online systems with good computer and communication skills will be an advantage.
Remuneration:The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
Salary Range: F$66,990 to F$88,144 per annum
