- The Production Manager will supervise, establish and coordinate the production schedule in a heavy plate work fabrication shop environment.
- This role is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in all phases of a fabrication facility, including welding, fabricating, wiring, sand blasting, painting and QC testing
Ensures that the flow of materials, work force resources, floor space and equipment are adequate to meet a fast paced production schedule.
Implements effective operational policies and QC procedures.
Ensures safe, efficient operation of all fabrication equipment and documents every activity performed.
Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product internally and of subcontractors. Maintain compliance with all the local laws and regulations that affect the plant operations, and comply with AICs safety policies and practices.
Supervise workers in performing root cause analysis for any abnormal conditions/failures, taking required corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence of such conditions.
Focuses on continuous improvement and makes recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
Ensures process excellence and consistent delivery of High Quality products.
BSC or BE or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production.
Engineering or Industrial Engineering plus an MBA or Post-Graduate degree (preferable)

8-15 years experience ideally in heavy plate work steel fabrication for Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries along-with a proven track record in operational excellence.
Possess technical proficiency and a mentoring approach to imparting knowledge.

Anticipates and interprets customer needs to identify solutions.
Excellent process improvement experience, including the utilization of continuous improvement tools/technologies e.g. LEAN, Six Sigma etc.
