Quantity Surveyor - Marine 

We are looking for a experienced WESTERN Quantity Surveyor with Marine Civil experience. Application needs to be between 30 & 40 and hold a degree. Also need to have 5+ years GCC experience working with an international consultancy.

Job description:-

Conversant with Industry standards in Methods of Measurements and Conditions of Contracts under FIDIC
Practical experience on Plant and Vendor inspection
Computer literate in Ms Office
Ability to interpret Engineering drawings and specifications
Fair understanding of legal contracting issues
Good Knowledge of Cost control, variations, certification, Claims preparation and budget controls experience.
Production of documentation for sub-contracts
Understanding of basic principles of Design Consultancy Agreements
Ability to produce clear and concise reports and recommendations

We are looking for intermediate FILIPINO Quantity Surveyor's specialising in Variations.

Job Role:-

Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required and labour involved
Prepare cost plans to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects, which involves liaising with architects, engineers and subcontractors.
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors.
Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure.
Monitor and keep track of project progress and are responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments and the final account.
Work as part of a team to ensure that the requirements of the client are delivered.

preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client;
undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
performing risk, value management and cost control;
advising on procurement strategy;
identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
preparing and analysing costings for tenders;
allocating work to subcontractors;
providing advice on contractual claims;
analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
valuing completed work and arranging payments;
maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
