- Purpose of the job:
The Director of Sales (& Marketing) works closely with the General Manager to determine appropriate sales strategies in all market segments towards maximizing the BU revenues. He is also responsible for a maximum of occupancy of conferences and banquettes in order to optimize general business opportunities. He has to observe the market, identity trend and monitor the main competitors. Based on his/her notices he creates sales targets depending on the tide of events.
Major Responsibilities:
o Plan, strategize, implement, direct and evaluate the Sales & Marketing performance of A-One polymer Ltd.
o Responsible for Marketing, Sales & Distribution & receivable management of BU.
o Demand creation and product visibility.
o To increase the current market share and achieve committed bottom line.
o Sound grasping on the current market scenario and competition

Market research
o Develop, implement and enforce Business planning process, policies and procedures of BU that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the BU.
o To identify new products and ensure new products are introduced as per the agreed time line.
o Responsible for Branding, Product promotion, Market communication, media, Advertisement and marketing collaterals.
o Strong in data analysis including Market & sales data, financial statements, Market research reports and present Monthly MIS to CEO / Board of Directors.
o Closely monitor the BU performance and review periodically thro detailed measures & metrics thro KRA across the organization.
o Provide strategic inputs and play leadership role in decision making issues impacting BU.
o Develop future leadership, Succession plan and career progression within the BU.
- Required critical soft competencies:
The ideal candidate should be an astute business leader with an entrepreneurial aptitude. He should be currently holding the similar roles & responsibilities with a business volume having multiple products vertical or a group of companies with a consistent business performance record. Sound business acumen and good analytical skills are prerequisite for this role.
The incumbent should have an excellent academic background preferably with a Management qualification from reputed university / institute, possessing 15+ years of proven experience in Marketing driven manufacturing conglomerate would fit the requirement.
This position is part of the management team and the candidate shall possess excellent communication skills and able to lead a big team.
