Conduct studies, provide advice and participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of HSE Management Systems and to support the achievement of the HSE goals and objectives of the Company. 

Main Accountabilities

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. 
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective Department objectives.

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices 
• Provide professional advice to the Site HSE Superintendents.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of Company HSE policies, standards and procedures, which incorporate UAE statutory requirements, ADNOC guidelines and international best practice.
• Review, develop and maintain emergency response procedures in order to reduce the risk to personnel, assets and company reputation. Conduct emergency exercises to verify the effectiveness of these procedures.
• Provide appropriate HSE training and develop HSE competency assurance process.
• Ensure the investigation and appraisal of HSE related incidents and to develop remedial actions to reduce HSE risk.
• Carry out HSE audits of the Company operations and facilities. Ensure that audits are completed on schedule and that resultant action plans are implemented
• Support actions to ensure that Contractors manage HSE in accordance with Company.
• Represent Company in various HSE forums with ADNOC, other Group Companies and third party representative.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification in Health, Safety & Environment discipline
• 8 or more years of relevant experience in leading a team of HSE professionals within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
