- We are a B2B business looking for a developer to help bring our internal and customer facing systems to the next level.
Three or more years experience of working with Rails is preferred but similar experience of other web application frameworks may be considered.
- Knowledge of OO techniques and best practices for code reuse and testing
- Knowledge of the full web stack including HTTP, CSS, REST
- Experience of JavaScript frameworks such as Prototype JS / JQuery etc. but not dependent on them for complex JavaScript work.
- Experience with distributed version control systems (Mercurial/Git)
- Experience of test driven development.
- Experience of RDBMS such as MySQL/PostgreSQL/MS SQL Server
- Comfortable on the Linux/Unix command line.
- Experience of DevOps and maintaining Linux and Windows servers is a plus.
- Relevant degree
- You will need to enjoy the challenge of working effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, be able to take the initiative and dig into a problem until it's solved.
