    Supervise: Supervise department staff. Supervisory responsibilities include appraising performance, approving leaves, training new/current staff, distributing tasks.

    Job Summary & Activities:

    Summary: Supervise and coordinate the activities of Technical Services department in a way that fulfils company plans and achieves company objectives and goals.

    Tasks & Activities:

    1. Supervise and manage activities of technical services sections in coordination with section heads.
    2. Review and approve work procedures for technical services sections.
    3. Initiate/receive and review short term/long term plans of the company.
    4. Give technical advice and support to the company internal departments and customers.
    5. Ensure products compliance with international markets regulations such as FDA & Europe regulations.
    6. Communicate with chemicals and additives suppliers to select most economical and effective additives.
    7. Communicate and coordinate with Basll concerning technical issues and products quality.
    8. Attend annual Technology Exchange Meeting (TEM) in Basell and convey technical issues to company technical staff.
    9. Manage and supervise TQM & ISO certifications system.
    10. Manage and supervise departments budget.
    11. Ensure production best quality through reviewing and approving production & quality control plans.
    12. Review and approve technical services departments purchase requests.
    13. Supervise development of products and their applications.
    14. Work closely with other managers to meet company goals. 
    15. Taking administrative actions and decisions such as recommendation for hiring and promotions, making/approving performance appraisals and vacations.
    16. Take full responsibility to the safety of the staff and to keep equipment running effectively, healthy, and safely.

    Job Specifications:

    Education: Bachelor degree in Chemical, Refining Engineering, or science

    Experience: Minimum 15 years of work related experience with 5 years at a managerial or supervisory level.

    Knowledge:

    1. Administration and Management Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
    2. Chemical Engineering Knowledge of process engineering, chemical engineering and operation.
    3. English Language Knowledge of the meaning, spelling, and use of the English language.
    4. Personnel and Human Resources Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, and training.
    5. Engineering and Technology Knowledge of how to use computers, machines, and tools to do work more usefully.
    6. Safety and Security Knowledge of protecting people, data, and property.
