Senior Finance & Accounts Manager for Malaysia

Our client is a leading group with diverse business interest. They are well respected for their processes, aggressive approach to the business & the professional & transparent way they carry their business in multiple geographies.
For their operation in Malaysia, they are currently looking for a Head of Finance / Finance Controller to manage the finance, accounting function with additional responsibilities of Commercial

• Responsible for managing activities of overall Finance & Accounts function for multiple plant sites.
•  Reporting and accounting as local regulatory and legal requirements including budgeting, controlling, accounting, taxation, dividends, cost management, annual report etc.
•  Coordinate and ensure smooth conduct of statutory & tax audits at various plant / factory sites.

• Responsible for Ensuring accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data. 
• Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies.
• Should have hands on experience in handling taxation and compliance issues.
• Works on complex problems where outcomes may have a significant impact on the business unit /company and are typically annual or multi-year timeframe.

Required Candidate profile

• Ideal Candidates will be senior finance professionals with at least 10 years of experience working and handling plant finance independently in manufacturing setup - preferably in Chemical / Fertilizer / Oil / Food / Pharma / Edible Oil etc.
• Strong experience in setting up and managing multi-site Financial Control functions.
  Strong process-orientation and ability to devise and set up policies, procedures and business processes for a new entity
  Strong leadership and communications skills and an entrepreneurial flair would be crucial for success in this role
