Transport Manager for Nigeria

CLIENT DETAILS: 

Our Client is Headquartered in Indonesia, started by Indians, large Group Company into Petrochemicals, Fertilizers etc 

There are 300 Indians residing in the 400 Acre Campus, which is safe and secured by the Security Staff. 

There are around 50 Indian families residing in the campus. 

We have placed around 35 Engineers/Managers/Chartered Accountants/Heads of Department/Pilots for Hawker Plane. 

Interview Procedure:

- Based on Shortlist, you will have Skype round of Interview with Logistics/Transportation Head 
- If you are selected, Head HR will discuss and finalize and offer will be issued. 

Rest, after selection, we will be there to guide you through the Medical, Attestation and Visa Process. 

Here is the Job Description. 

Position: Manager – Transport (Road Transport/Logistics) 
Qualification: Graduate in Science/Commerce/Economics+ MBA/PG Diploma in supply chain/logistics management. 

Profile: Managing 40 number of Company own trucks as well vendor truck movement. 

Skills required: 
 Good communication – Ability to communicate verbally as well as writing to coordinate and plan for dispatches and arrange adequate number of trucks as per daily Logistics dispatch plan 
 Negotiating skills- Fleet Manager managing our own fleet movement as well as dealing with multiple transporter and develop vendors to smoothen the dispatches, domestics as well as export. 
 Oversee and coordinate with truck repair and maintenance deptt for all Company owned truck for export. 
 Oversee truck loading operation and coordinate with weighbridge for waybill and plan the truck rotation inside the complex. 
 Coordinate and control the contractor’s team of drivers and cleaners for smooth transportation and completion of desired number of trips from loading to unloading point with accomplishment of contractual obligations for Company own trucks. 
 Tracking movement of vehicles, coordinate with fueling station/Stores to ensure adequate availability of fuel for Company own trucks. 
 Ensure compliance of statutory with vendors for requirements for vehicles, drivers and material being transported. 
 Ability to supervise and oversee the entire truck movement plan for domestics and export dispatches and to establish and maintain effective working relationship with vendors and other departments. 
 Comfortable interacting with all level for better coordination. 
 Develop /run /analyze productivity and operational report. 
 Besides daily MIS, track performance versus forecast on a monthly basis. 

MS Word, Ms Excel and Power Point working knowledge.
