Job responsibilities for Sales Manager for CABLE:
- Development and management of distributor and dealer network across Uganda and neighbouring countries e.g. Rwanda, Burundi, DRC, South Sudan, Tanzania, Kenya
- Develop and execute channel programs and channel communication, penetration and cross-sales strategies
- Increase sales to major consumers such as UMEME, Rural Electrification Authority, Kenya Power and Lighting Company, etc.
- Generate Sales Leads. Provide effective forecast to factory for adhering to the future requirements of customers.
- Responsible for complete sales cycle from Enquiry Generation to sorting out Technical Queries of Customers for both retail and tender businesses
- Support senior management in sales negotiations where necessary
- Post Order Customer and factory dispatch coordination.
- To support the development of the sales budget, to plan and execute the orders to meet targets
- Ensure collections are received within specified credit period
- Identify new products and services that are synergistic with current operations and work with senior management to develop, sell and deliver these products and services
- Develop new markets for existing products and services as well as for new products and services in the electrical market whether cables, electrical equipment or turnkey solutions
- Also assist in marketing of engineering products manufactured by the Cable Engineering Division
