Chief Human Resources Officer for Dubai

Our client a leading retail group in the UAE & GCC seeks to appoint a Chief Human Resources Officer for their UAE operations. The Ideal candidate would be responsible for determining and providing leadership to the group HR department.

The Ideal candidate would be responsible for determining and providing leadership in developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and total rewards. The CHRO would report directly to the board of Directors.

Functions:
The position will be responsible to fully define and implement a strong HR business consulting capability within the organization, shaping the function to align with business strategy, execution, performance and talent requirements. 

2. Develops comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals. Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefit plans that are competitive and cost effective for the group. Provides overall leadership and guidance to HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training and leadership development, compensation and benefits. 

3. Serve as trusted advisor to senior executives, particularly Executive Team members including the board of directors, providing seasoned business guidance around human capital issues. Build a reputation as a credible and value-added member of the senior management team demonstrating the highest level of integrity and ethics.

4. Conduct a comprehensive needs analysis, understand the strategic and operating plans within the various lines of business, and build an HR Business Support organization and team prepared to provide the full range of HR advisory and execution support required.

5. Build workforce analyses as well as talent acquisition plans and programs across all levels of the organization aligned to business strategies and future needs. Use comprehensive management reporting suite that can be used to drive business decision-making, as well as operating metrics that can ensure the HR is delivering targeted results and meeting or exceeding industry benchmarks.

7. Ensure the HR function is fully equipped not only to manage but to lead change and able to participate fully in the organization's growth strategy, including all human capital and operational aspects related to potential mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate actions. Define the required competencies, behaviors and experiences for the HR Business Partner role.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of organization with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
