Qualification: B.E (Mechanical) / B. Tech (Mechanical) / B.Sc Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.


Should have minimum 8-10 years hands on experience in inspection of Plant Equipment in Fertilizer Industries, Petrochemical Plants and or Refineries. 


The plant equipment includes Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Storage Tanks, Co
lumns, Surface Condensers, Reactors, Furnaces, Non Return Valve, Sea water lines & Piping.


1. Conduct all inspection related activities in a timely manner in accordance with the section operating procedures and API guidelines.

2. Report all inspection findings and recommendations promptly to GPIC Inspection in a clear and concise manner.
3. P & E Inspector to organize & allocate NDT jobs to contractor’s Technicians. Review, comment and approve NDT inspection reports.
4. Ensure that the inspection records are maintained and updated with the relevant information and handed over to GPIC Inspection after the completion of turnaround.
5. Co-ordinate with operations, maintenance and planning as deemed necessary to complete inspection activities.
6. Prepare Initial Inspection reports highlighting the inspection findings and recommended remedial actions and submit to GPIC Inspection.
7. Review inspection plans and quality control documentation related to capex projects and items fabricated off site.
8. Comply with all company safety, quality and environmental instructions and procedures.
9. Compile and write Final Inspection report of individual plant equipment after the completion of turnaround, attach photographs and NDT records with the report. These reports are to be complied on computers using Microsoft Word application.
