Telecom Engineer for Qatar

The main objective of this position is to manage all the aspects related to the telecommunication project.

Principal Accountabilities :

Review of drawing and documents.Develop method statement for installation, testing & commissioning.Monitor and coordinate installation activities.

Monitoring and splicing, termination and testing for fiber optic cables.Coordinate with client and vendor.Monitor day to day activity at site.Report to the project manager on a regular basis.

Develop shop drawings for approval.To manage workforce on site.Prepare relevant reports to his supervisor.Other tasks assigned. 

Educational Background amp; Experience: Engineering Degree in Electronic and Communication.

Have 5 - 10 years telecommunication experience especially in OSP and preferable in oil and gas sector.

Experience in the installation, testing and commissioning of fiber optic cables.

Experience in maintaining IT and telecom infrastructure.Hands on experience in installation, configuration and trouble shooting of Cisco switches, routers and hubs.Experience in installation and commissioning of various type of telecom equipment.

CCNA with valid ID.

Required Competencies : Good communication, reporting and planning skills.Good leadership and management skills.Ability to work on multiple tasks and functions well even under pressure.Ability to meet deadlines.
