Trigyn has a contractual opportunity for a Software Developer (MS .NET Web Application Developer). This position is based at our client site at Uganda.

Responsibilities:

Within delegated authority, the MS .NET Web Application Developer will be responsible for the following duties:

• Develop web applications as per client needs, while complying with the information security, ICT technology standards.
• Maintain, upgrade and enhance complex full-life cycle implementations of enterprise solutions, developed on MS .NET and SQL technology, including a wide range of integrations and third-party systems, with a focus on maintainability, reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Transfer data from the legacy systems to MS SQL Server database for application modernization projects.
• Perform application testing for potential development issues and flag feasibility challenges when needed.
• Conduct peer review of code created by other developers.
• Perform security reviews of developed solutions prior to their deployments.
• Maintain active client communications on their application development projects.
• Act as a main point of contact for external and internal teams to interface with regarding the architecture of web applications developed on MS .NET and SQL.
• Escalate development issues appropriately to technical managers, project managers, and senior management.

Results Expected:

Works with minimal amount of supervision; provides prompt and efficient application development services to the clients; reports work progress to the Information Systems Officer in the Application Development and Support Section.

Qualifications:

The .NET Developer for web application projects must have:

• A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience on .NET Core, .NET Framework in planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance of web-based computer information systems or related area.
• Five years of experience in developing complex enterprise applications on .NET and SQL technology.
• Working experience in managing deployments of .NET and SQL projects with multiple developers across multiple environments.
• Proficiency coding in C#, .NET and SQL and other web development tools.
• Experience with REST API integrations and mastery of working with MS SQL database.
• Proficiency in using TFS and related workflows for source control management.
• Expertise in unit testing, automated deployment processes, and continuous integration.
• Ability to analyse requirements and write detailed technical / functional specifications.

Desirable for this position:

• Knowledge of cloud based services, cloud architecture and information security.
• Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2.

Education:

Advanced university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
