Material Control Manager for Al Qaryan Group, Saudi Arabia

Role & responsibilities

Manage the flow of raw materials from suppliers to production, ensuring adherence to internal control procedures and processes. Oversee logistics operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, and distribution, to optimize material handling and minimize disruptions. Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with internal controls. Develop and implement performance measurement systems against KPIs to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce excess stock. Participate in internal and external audits to maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Ensure that all store and material handling operations adhere to internal control policies, minimizing risks related to material loss or mismanagement. 

Develop and implement an integrated management system to meet quality standards and manage quality claims issues through detailed reporting and corrective actions. Lead a large team of employees, fostering a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide training on internal controls and ensure adherence to established procedures in material handling and inventory management. Lead the implementation and management of yard management systems to ensure efficient material flow, storage optimization, and inventory accuracy. 

Responsible for material storage and zoning across yards to ensure proper organization, easy accessibility, safety and accuracy of inventory, optimizing space utilization. Manage non-trading and consumable materials, coordinating closely with operations and procurement departments to ensure timely availability and replenishment.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 15 years of experience in supply chain management, particularly in internal control, inventory optimization, and logistics operations. Proven track record in process improvement, internal audits, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. 

Certifications in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable. Experience with SAP and ERP systems for inventory and process management.
