Position: Sales Manager - Telecom Division
Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
- Head the companys mobile device division and drive sales to achieve the set targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve corporate sales targets.
- Identify and secure telecom business opportunities in all the key business and project sectors including but not limited to retailers, telecom operators, corporate organizations, and government institutions.
- Deliver sales pitches and presentations to clients, highlighting the unique selling propositions of our products and solutions.
- Set out well-structured plans to ensure profit and sales targets are met as set for the departments.
- Build, Lead, mentor, and train the corporate sales team to achieve individual and team goals.
- Supervise mobile device sales from the company’s showrooms by optimizing product range, maintaining display, ensuring correct pricing, product training, display of point of sale materials, and effective execution of promotions.
- Overseeing the company’s tendering division for mobile devices & IT Products to ensure the company prequalifies as a vendor to all key private and government-running institutions.
- Follow up keenly on all quotations submitted to ensure maximum order conversion.
- Maintain records of all tender submissions, including outcomes, to analyze patterns and improve future proposals.
- Establish strong relationships with mobile operators and drive business through this channel.
- Establish and maintain relationships with decision-makers and procurement officials in these institutions to stay informed about upcoming tenders.
- Prepare order forecasts based on sales projections together with the Head of Sales.
- Build a positive relationship with the vendor. Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing for mobile phones.
- Accurate and regular stock reconciliation for all products within your portfolio. This is to be carried out on a weekly basis at the head office and showrooms.
- Ensure the provision of proper after-sales support and services to clients in while working with the company’s service department.
- Ensure company receivables are managed well and as per the agreed terms.
- Collaborate with the marketing, advertising, and distribution heads to develop and implement plans effective for enhancing sales and overall company performance.
- Provide management with weekly reports highlighting targets Vs achievements, business opportunities, and any challenges faced together with recommended solutions.
Preferred candidate profile
- Proven track record in corporate sales, preferably in the mobile device or technology sector.
- Experience managing a sales team and achieving sales targets
