Responsibilities of Production Process Manager


The responsibilities for Production Process manager job includes one to do the following:


• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste

• Continuously improve processes to reduce cycle time and operating costs.

• Implement cost-saving measures, such as lean manufacturing techniques and waste reduction programs.

• Streamline production processes to minimize downtime and maximize output.

• Identify and mitigate risks related to machinery, processes, or hazardous materials.

• Explore and implement new technologies or automation to improve productivity.

• Organize and standardize workspaces for better workflow, using methodologies such as Lean,TPM,Kaizen,3C,5Sand SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die)Etc.

• Equip Recommend and justify investments in new equipment when necessary to improve production efficiency.

• Track production data (output, defects, downtime) and prepare reports for senior management.

• Identify and address any quality issues, implementing corrective actions to reduce defects.

• Manage production costs, ensuring the efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.

• Ensure that products meet company and industry standards, as well as any legal regulations.

• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork to enhance productivity.

• Supervise and train production, quality staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.

• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, providing a safe working environment for all employees.

• Ensure regular maintenance and repair of machinery to prevent breakdowns.

• Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to quality standards.

• Weekly report has to submit every week, based on the top management feedback, need to align or prepare the activity plan along with timeline.
