 Job Description: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Angola, Luanda, Southern Africa

Contract Duration: 2 Years (1.11 years of work + 1 Month Paid Holiday)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Luanda, Angola, for a long-term assignment. This role requires in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring all electrical systems, controls, and equipment are functioning efficiently, reducing downtime and optimizing performance in a challenging, high-demand industrial environment. This position is suitable for someone with a strong commitment to international work and the ability to adapt to new surroundings.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform timely repairs, replacements, and upgrades of electrical components.
• Monitor and maintain electrical control panels, wiring, generators, transformers, and other industrial equipment.
• Identify and diagnose electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering team members to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Follow all regulatory standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors/Diploma/ITI Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in the manufacturing or oil & gas industry.
• Proficient in electrical systems troubleshooting, control panel maintenance, and PLC systems.
• Knowledge of international electrical standards and safety regulations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in international or remote environments is a plus.
• Ability to operate under pressure in a fast-paced industrial setting.
• Knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage but not mandatory
