Our client is an over 60 years old organization, a world leader in the design and supply of water and wastewater treatment and water desalination systems, including water treatment chemicals, who are headquartered in the UAE with operations in Africa, Asia (including India ) and the Far East. Additionally, our client also has a separate profit center entity which offers a full spectrum of services by way of BOO, BOT, PPP and BOOT projects by signing long term concession agreements with its customers. Such services not only include the provision of water supply or wastewater treatment, but also the responsibility of operating and managing water distribution and sewage collection networks including billing and collection of individual end users and customer service. To facilitate the execution of a floating desalination plant (3 x 50,000 m3/day) on a Barge they require talented HSE professionals with some offshore work experience
  1. Prepare and Implementation of Project Specific HSE Plans for two floating ( Barges ) desalination plants (3 x 50,000 m3/day) in line with Project Objectives.
  2. Conduct Activity Hazard Analysis, Risk assessments, Job Safety & Environment Analysis for the Water Treatment project .
  3. Comply with Company's IMS procedures and local / legal requirements
  4. Coordinate with client / consultant / third party agencies and carry out periodic HSE inspections and submit reports
  5. Plan, Prepare and implements safety training needs of all employees and coordinate with the department manager for implementation.
  6. Document and Issue HSE violations report
  1. Ensure that all occupational illnesses, injuries, accidents, incidents/ near misses and hazards are reported, recorded and investigated
  2. Ensure employees compliance with PPE's requirements, safety toolbox talks, safety induction programs.
  3. Liaise with emergency services / medical staff with respect to casualties incurred during accidents and emergency situations in coordination with site Project / HSE Team.
  4. Submit regular reports to the Corporate QHSE Manager on the status of the HSE training analysis needs and make recommendations for improvement.
Required Candidate profile
Applicants should preferably be degree holders in Mechanical / Civil / Chemical Engineering aged around 32 years with a minimum work experience of 8 years in the HSE function with some experience of working on Barges / Offshore industry. They should have certifications in Nebosh, Iosh, BOSIET ( Basic Offshore Safety Induction Emergency Training ) etc.
