Senior Safety Officer for Uganda

We are hiring for Senior Officer Safety for Uganda location. (East Africa).

Position- Senior Officer Safety

Location- Uganda- East Africa

Report to- Head Safety.

Experience- 4-8 yrs minimum

Company- A Reputed Infrastructure Group Company

Qualification- B.Sc./ M.Sc.- Environmental Science with additional course in Safety Preferred.

Note- Experience in International location will be preferred.

Experience- Should have experience in Infrastructure/ EPC/ Transmission/ Oil & Gas/ Refinery Business

Job details

• Proven experience assafety officer.
• In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures
• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
• Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
• Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
• Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is preferred.
• Experience in Environmental, Health and Safety aspect at Project location.
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Diligent with great attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
• Implementation of Quality Control & Assurance, policies and practices at Africa Region Projects.
• Establishing specific Quality Assurance (QA) plans for individual project sites in line with organization strategy

• Should have experience in Infrastructure/ EPC/ Oil & Gas/ Refinery/ Transmission Projects of Large Value.
• Establishing SOPs for Safety/ HSE implementation across all projects.
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
• Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
• Initiate and organize OHStraining of employees and executives.
• Implementation of Safety & Environmental policies at Uganda Project location
• Should have handled team of safety officers.
• Establishing method statements for execution of activities at sites.
• Achieving full compliance to organization's quality policy
• Implementing QA, HSE, Processes across all project sites.
