Qualifications:
- In-depth technical and design skills related to building envelope design and Site Supervision
- Experience with a variety of systems and materials.

- US (West Coast) cladding industry experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities
- Participate and actively contribute to design workshops, where cladding solutions are explored and determined. Workshops will be with architects and fellow professionals and with the cladding industry.
- Sketch details to develop ideas and to explain concepts.
- Produce drawings, specifications, and reports, and coordinating the work of others.
- Commenting on cladding industry submittals.
- Witnessing testing and preparing associated technical reports.
- Carrying out factory visits, site inspections, and preparing associated technical reports.
- Supervising and coordinating the work of other team members and coordinating work with building professionals of other disciplines.
- Communicating with clients to establish their needs and maintaining a dialogue throughout the project.
- Managing project teams to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.
ID Architect / Senior ID Architect
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience Construction industry with comprehensive experience in Interior Architecture.
Reviewing of drawing and calculation interior fit-out & joinery shop drawings submitted by Sub-consultants and shop drawings submitted by contractors and issue OCS (Observation and Comments) review report and recommendations.
Responsible for all Joinery, final finishes& fit-out site inspection
Reviewing of the technical material submittals and RFIs from the contractors and provide responses.
Attending technical meeting with contractors and sub-consultants and do the necessary coordination as required.
Provide technical assistance to project managers and make coordination and technical consultation with other disciplines as required. Project hand over inspection at site and prepare report accordingly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent technical, team-working and interpersonal skills
Architect
Technical Competencies
- Degree in Architecture.
- Minimum 12+ years experience in detail design, production of drawings, able to analyse technical/construction build-ability issues and provide drawings and specifications coordinated with engineering and other disciplines. Site execution of Interior design works
- AutoCAD competent and able to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision, within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience in a variety of buildings and sectors such as multi residential, leisure, hotels, retail, offices, mixed-use developments.
- Able to interpret project specifications client requirements and constructability requirements.
- Able to prepare project specific quality plans and record and implement essential coordination issues in accordance with Atkins quality procedures
- Desirable Middle East experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the site supervision of Contractors architectural and interior design works. Duties include inspection of the Contractors works
- Review and commenting on submittals, forwarding submittals to the concerned designer for response, obtaining samples and quotations when required, preparing reports and recommendations and coordination of all architectural / ID works with other disciplines
- Reviewing and authorising his inspectors daily reports, preparing his portion of weekly report and giving relevant input to the monthly report of his section of the project.
- Review comments on Material submittals concerning constructability as support to the AOR and witness the field test.
- To review As-built drawings
- To report Quality Non-Conformances and to assist in closing out of the same.
- To report safety violations to HSE Manager during his inspections on site.
- To work with project site team.
- Coordinate and manage the technical input of other disciplines during construction stage
- Ensure the satisfactory management and control of inward and outward documentation
- Be able to develop and build client relationships.
- Required to supervise the work of other members of the team
Requirements
- Degree qualified and preferably with a professional affiliation (or eligible for membership), candidates will ideally have minimum 8 years relevant working experience in Landscape Architecture design, documentation and site implementation.
- Will be capable of working on their own or within/ assisting leading a team of like discipline individuals and creating designs relevant to Middle East environment.
Technical Competencies
- Degree qualified (from recognised Tertiary Institution),
- Must be familiar with Site Supervision design, tender and construction processes
- Good working knowledge of the following software - Auto CAD, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Creative ability and design flare, suitable for a range of landscape and planning projects

- Previous site inspection experience
- Understanding of British, American and International design standards. Working knowledge of ICAO standards would be a distinct benefit.
- Good communication skills in written and spoken English essential
Responsibilities
- Keep, monitor and follow up as necessary and maintain complete record(s)
- concerning the execution of the works.
- Inspection, sampling and testing of materials to assure that compliance with the contract specification.
- Identify non conforming work or materials, notify contractor and keep a record. Follow up corrective and preventive measure taken by the Contractor.
- Assist in the review and forward comments on the contractors method statement for execution of the works.
- Assist in the review and forward any comments on the contractor’s technical submittals.
- Attend site technical coordination meetings to discuss contractor (s) submissions, shop drawings, material submittals and construction related matters
- Carry out the final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over of the works.
- Assist in the review and forward comments on the Technical Query raised by the contractor.
- Inspect the work done by the contractor(s) to ascertain that work is executed in accordance with the Contract Documents and accepted practise
- Inspect the on-site and off-site materials to be used in the project and organise field and laboratory tests, conducted by others, on construction materials to ascertain their compliance with the specifications and determine it acceptability for use on the project.
- Identify potential safety concerns and inform the contractor (s).
- Review the site progress and assist in the review of the contractor’s interim payment application.
- Liaise with the RE for the effective implementation of the quality management systems and site supervision provision activities.
- Implement the site supervision quality procedures, and review submission requirements of the project, along with the contractor.
- Review all construction documents and highlight any design and contractual discrepancies with the concerned RE.
- Ensure that all statutory authority NOC’s / permits / design approvals are available on site for construction.
- Extend the maximum possible effort to avoid contractor(s) claims for cost and/or delay.

- architectural works ensuring compliance with the contract documents.
- Review and forward any comments on the contractor’s method statement for installation, execution of the works.

- Liaise with the Statutory Authorities and follow up all final inspection and approvals as required
Civil Inspector / Architectural Inspector, ID Inspector
