IT Service Desk Engineer - Telecom
Roles and Responsibilities
- The candidate will be engaged in resolving L1 only technical queries .
- Also will be reposible for basic Monitoring for Telecom Operations team by connecting with them on call, email etc.
- Responsible for Internal End User Support.
- Resolving issues like login, application installation, password locked, etc.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Should have knowledge on basic desktop issues, printer installations, Active Directory, Exchange, Hardware issues, Wireless issues.
- Willingness to work in any shifts including night shifts
- Accountable to answer customer requests and assisting customer
- Should be flexible for voice support
- Ability to understand customer issue and route to appropriate team
- Should be ITIL/ MCP Foundation certified
- Must be a strong cross-team collaborator
- Requires the ability to thrive in a demanding, fast paced 24*7*365 operations support environment, which may occasionally require working after normal business hours or weekends. Candidates might need to extend support during Week Offs depending on the business requirement
- Basic knowledge about Systems, backup and Network
- Ability to drive higher Customer Satisfaction and maintain the defined SLA's and KPI's
Responsibilities
Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner
Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
Requirements and skills
Proven working experience as a Oracle Database Administrator
Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools
Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
