We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Head to lead our primary education division at Millsberry School. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the academic and administrative operations of the primary wing, ensuring seamless execution of the Cambridge International curriculum while also focusing on local educational requirements. This role is pivotal in maintaining our high standards of learning and student welfare.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and manage the primary school teaching team to achieve excellence in teaching and learning.
• Implement innovative teaching methods and curricular enhancements that align with the Cambridge International standards.
• Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that encourages collaborative learning and respects diversity.
• Oversee the curriculum development and ensure it meets both the Cambridge international and local needs.
• Monitor student progress and ensure high standards of student achievement and behavior.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrative staff to enhance the educational environment.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and school policies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Masters degree in Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a primary educational setting.
• Strong understanding of the Cambridge International curriculum and its application in a multicultural educational setting.
• Proven track record of managing a team and promoting professional development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A passionate commitment to education and leadership.
