Safety Engineer for Bhutan (2+ years experience)

B. Tech/Diploma (Mechanical) & PG Diploma in Industrial Safety (Regular 1/2 years course) 

Minimum 2 years of working experience in the field of Hydro Electric Project as Safety Engineer

• Ensure the proper use of all PPE by everyone.
• Ensure that everyone follows safety procedure for specific jobs and to build safe working Environment.
• Organize craft wise safety training/ Promotional programme and orientation.
• Prepare and maintain safety documents records & reports as per company safety manual.
• Enlighten hazards at each site and to educate every individual safety steps required for different jobs. Ex. Fire preventions, Emergency evacuation, Heavy lifting, Excavation, Confined space etc.
• Enlightened the Hazards to each site and educate every individual safety required for different jobs for example Fire Prevention, Emergency Evacuation, Confined Space, Work at Height, Heavy Lifting/Erection, Excavation, Hot Work Activities and Following Up with Work Permit System.
• Making sure that work location is free from obstacles and access and egress should be clear.
• Ensure Drinking water is available for workers.
• Ensuring that there is safe access and no dangerous obstructions.
• To ensure that personnel protective equipment are in working condition and being used by workers in hazardous situations.
• To inspect firefighting equipment and to see that they are in working condition.
• Manage WAH Implementation and PPEs inspection by internally audit.
• Making sure all lifting Tools & Tackles (both man & material) must have Third Party Inspection by Competent Person.
• Arrange Training session related work procedure activity according to company policy.
• Responsible for Company EHS policy to be implemented on work location.
• Making daily safety round with the client to identifying hazards such as the unsafe acts and unsafe conditions at site and taking its corrective action.
• Maintaining a high standard in housekeeping; to ensure a neat & tidy work place.
• Attending Site Safety Meeting on weekly or Monthly basis.
• Making monthly HSE report, Accident Repot, Near miss report, etc. and record keeping.
• Knowledge of Window, MS Office, MS Excel, MS power point.
