Proposed Role & Responsibilities.
Mandatory Experience
Must have handled stores/warehouse operations, exposure to import shipment clearance, customs duty taxes. Experience in printing industry is an added advantage
Stores / Inventory Control & Management:
Complete end-to-end stores operations involving receipt of printers & its consumables, accessories, issuance against delivery orders, stock keeping using ERP, invoicing & handling warehouse transfers .
Maintaining accurate stock records matching physical & books stocks. Quick processing of goods movement incoming / outgoing.
Keeping the concerned team informed with daily stock on hand reports, transit goods with estimated availability dates.
Planning and maintaining the optimum stock levels through the effective use of inventory control tools including, trend analysis, demand forecasting, ABC Classification, Reorder Points, Safety Stock thus achieving the maximum profitability with minimum stock.
Planning physical layout of warehouse for efficient storage of products, strategically designing the storage location to achieve least order processing time. Responsible for allocation / transfer of material, conducting perpetual & periodic stock checks at warehouse and retail outlets for the inventory conciliation.
Handling the inventory function so as to curtail inventory holding expenses and ensuring adherence to optimum stocking system. Planning, organizing and controlling all requisite activities to perform negotiation, ordering, expediting & tracking, reporting, payment processing, etc
Procurement & Import Logistics :
Keeping track of all import purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, arranging shipment, checking documents
logistics operations involving coordinating with clearing agents, shipping lines, airlines, local customs, ICD to ensure containers, cargo is cleared with free time without paying storage charges
Ensuring right HS code is assessed on each item & right import duty is charged & resolving disputes with customs office in case of value disputes
Liaison with insurance agencies in case of damage/short of goods in transit & ensuring the claim is lodged & claimed
MIS: Proficient in automation tools in MS Excel, processing large databases, usage of various statistical tools in data analysis, strong analytical skill with an acute focus on details
