Restaurant Manager for Chiyang Hotels (Rwanda)

Experience: 4 to 7 yrs.  | Salary: INR 12,00,000 - 15,00,000 P.A

Responsibilities
Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all of our guests
Ensure training is carried out on an ongoing basis
Ensure staffing levels meet business demands
Motivate staff to ensure efficient delivery of services
Maintain exceptional levels of customer service
Manage all Banquets/Events
Evaluate and ensure customer satisfaction
Engage with customers online and respond to feedback
Implement changes in administration according to customer and management feedback
Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures
Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated
Optimise sales and contain costs, identifying any areas for action
Maintain good communication and work relationships with suppliers and regular patrons
Deal with all enquires in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone , via e-mail or social media
Assist in keeping the hotel clean and tidy, at all times
Keep up to date with current promotions and hotel pricing, to provide information to guests, on request, while maximising bedroom sales opportunities
Manage and maintain the administration of all reservations, cancellations and no-shows, in line with company policy
Ensure that conference rooms and areas under your responsibility are checked thoroughly at the end of every shift, confirming that they meet our standards
Monitor and oversee maintenance and liaise with third-party contractors as required
Provide reports, as required, for hotel management
Maintain effective communication, at all times, among the team and with hotel management
Be responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for the team, guests and the emergency services
Report any security issues to the hotel manager immediately
Complete all required health and safety/fire checks on time
Carry out instructions given by the management team and head office
Exceptional leadership skills to create a winning team

Educational Requirement
A degree in Hotel Management or equivalent course from a renowned college

Experience
5 or more years of experience in a similar position at a Hotel
Additional Requirements
Must have an excellent command of English
Strong knowledge of hotel/leisure/service sector
Record of success in Conference & Beverage, specifically the ability to deliver profit, control costs, and build customer loyalty
Exceptional communication skills
A Positive attitude and pleasant personality
Good understanding of food and command over cuisines
