Chief Accountant for Fair Construction Ltd. (Rwanda)

Experience: 10 to 20 yrs.

• To be in charge of the finance and administration department.

• Review and supervise accounting transactions on a daily basis according to generally accepted accounting standards.

• Ensure all payments and receipts are posted to the appropriate journals and ledgers as they occur.

• Ensure that each expenditure and each income are posted to the relevant cost/profit centers on time.

• Ensure that all accounting transactions are passed according to the accounting standards and in respect of tax laws in force.

• Ensure that all purchases local or imported are properly captured and that each item gets its statement of costs at which it will be issued thereon to various sites.

• Carry out accounting transactions analysis on a daily basis to ensure that all transactions are correctly posted and all adjustments correctly passed using a MOV (Miscellaneous Operations Voucher).

• Be able to carry accurate bank reconciliations.

• Be able to deal with payroll, projects and cost accounting.

• Implementing all financial internal controls set by the management unit.

• Ensure proper filing system of accounting documents.

• Ensure that tax returns are made within deadlines and capture new tax laws.

• Supervise the Human resources manager and generate an optimal output from each staff.

• Participate in the preparation of the annual financial report.

• Together with the CEO, OPM to deal with clients, public and private institutions.

• To make sure that a code of conduct is implemented in the company.

• To set up control and managerial tools for a maximum asserts protection.

• Weekly and monthly project reports.

• Quarterly and annual financial report.

• Monthly master financial report

Should have a valid passport.

Should be open for relocating to Rwanda.
