Resident Engineer for CH2M HILL, New York (USA)

Experience: 7 to 10 yrs.


The challenge? Helping our communities stay safely on the move. We are looking for Resident Construction Engineers for highway and bridge construction. The resident engineer must be capable of analyzing all technical aspects of heavy highway and bridge construction, reviewing and recommending major construction changes, and supervising construction engineering activities for their projects. 

The resident engineer will serve as the technical representative for the management and inspection of contractor construction activities. Responsible for processing payments, negotiating claims and change orders, supervising field staff consisting of Inspectors, office engineers, and managing specialty sub-consultants

Associates Degree in Construction related field
7-10 years of roadway and bridge construction experience NICET IV certification required
Computer skills: must be fluent in Microsoft Office Applications

Preferred Qualifications

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering NJ P.E.
Experience with New Jersey Turnpike Authority construction inspection, plans, and specifications

Degree Required
Associates or 2 Year Degree
