Project Planner-Civil for Tanzania

Experience: 5 to 10 yrs.

The Candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the planning and scheduling of the project to achieve the projects goals. Reporting to the Project Manager on site.


Main tasks and responsibilities are:
Develop, where necessary, maintain and update project program (contract & targets) to completion.
Provision of defensible planning, including production rates, quantity and resources.
Compile weekly and monthly progress reports.
Maintaining project controls system S-curves, critical path, float, key schedule indicators.
Assist in provision of short term programs as required
Produce accurate and detailed as built program for claims substantiation.
Support change management, variation, claim & other planning efforts to realize project objectives.
Provide early warning of deviations or potential deviations and risks to the schedule of work.
Keep up to date on the status of various elements of work.
Liaise with the project team, the T&E department in Gouda and the Resident Engineer.

BSc degree in civil engineering.
5-10 years of international project planning experience in civil works within a contractor.
Extensive experience in construction planning, project controls and progress reports.
Up-to-date IT knowledge and proficient user in Microsoft project
Excellent communication skills and a team player.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to very diverse site circumstances.
Fluency in English (written and verbal) .
