1)Uses latest CAD and Civil Design tools and software to create design models and production drawings.
2)Drafts clear, complete and accurate working plans, detail drawings or minor design arrangement from rough or detailed sketches or notes and from layouts or models.
3)May make sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimensions, materials to be used, the relation of one part to another and checking the relation of various parts to whole design.
4)Makes any changes, adjustments, or corrections desired and submits drawings for inspection and approval.
5)Utilizes knowledge of engineering practices, mathematics and building materials to complete drawings.
6)May assist in design model construction, make material take offs and prepare material lists.
7)Gathers information from vendor’s drawings, files, and other groups to use as guide in drawings.
•Will work to deliver quality design solutions. This will principally involve preparing feasibility and design drawings, but may also involve assisting with the preparation of reports, calculations, specifications, and contract documents, undertaking site visits and inspection.
•Monitors progress of own work
Sound knowledge of 2-D CAD drafting techniques for drawings of average complexity based on information from others, engineering drawings, reading of drawings and reproduction methods used by the engineering discipline.
