Web Administrator for Dubai

    Job Purpose

    The job holder is responsible for Web Administration, Support and Deployment of various web applications running on web technologies like IIS, Apache, Tomcat, J-Boss, Oracle Web platforms.
    Principal Accountabilities 
    Work Management

    Technical Fault Avoidance and Resolution: Maintains Web systems availability by identifying potential incidents and performance issues by proactively monitoring. Should an unavoidable incident happen, the job holder needs to promptly troubleshoot and resolve the same, giving business restoration priority and ensure subsequent permanent resolution.
    Systems Security: Establishes Web system specifications by analyzing access, information, and security requirements; designing related system infrastructure. Thoroughly familiarize and ensure compliance to IT security standards and processes of CBD. Tracks and takes necessary proactive measures to ensure all internal and external SSL certificates are current and renewed in a timely manner to avoid any system down-times.
    Preventive Maintenance: Performs required periodic maintenance activities to ensure availability and reliability of all the systems under the job holders responsibility.
    System Upgrades: Upgrades Web system in coordination with the Application Owners and respective vendors and assisting necessary testing.
    Adherence to ITIL (ISO 20K) Standards: Follows the ITIL methodologies w.r.t. Incident, Problem, Change and Release management and also adhere to CBDs set processes.
    Continuous Improvement: Initiate appropriate actions to ensure continuous improvement.
    Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery: Assists in setting up the required DR capability and performs periodic DR tests under the guidance of the line manager.
    Documentation: The jobholder is fully responsible to maintain updated documentation of all the web-systems under his/her control with appropriate architecture, design and as-built diagrams. Appropriately updated baselines, procedures and operational run-books are to be maintained.
    Reporting: The job holder has to ensure crisp and to-the-point reporting of day-to-day activities as well as detailed monthly reports. Templates may be provided.
    Collaboration & Teamwork: Foster team-spirit within the Operations-Team of the Section and work as a team player with other sections to ensure projects and tasks are completed optimally.
    Knowledge Sharing and Teambuilding: Provide assistance to train and develop team members to build their capabilities to support the Sections efficiency and drive the culture of process adherence.
    Key Performance Indicator

    Systems availability of 99.9% measured monthly (excludes approved outages)
    Avoidance of high-risk observations from IT Audit, IT Security and IT GRC
    Measured as point-1 above.
    Avoidance of out-dated and/or out-of support technologies in production
    IT Audit and internal reviews
    Number of measurable improvements during the quarter (at least 1 per quarter)
    Sign-off of test performed from business and BCM
    Various audits in the bank covering processes and sign-off from line-manager
    Submission of timely and high-quality reports as mentioned
    Conflict avoidance through mature steps (includes escalation) ensuring smooth operations
    Ability of smooth operations when the job-holder is on-leave (emergency or planned).
    Communication & Working Relationships

    Good communication skills in English (both oral and written).
    Communicates effectively with all levels of IT department within CBD and Vendors/Suppliers
    Communicates with business especially digital channels and related vendors

    7 to 10 years of relevant experience
    Strong background in IIS, server hardware platforms, including Windows domains
    Knowledge on Server Security
    Good understanding of system requirements for banking operational processes related to digital, online and mobile channels.
    Qualifications

    Graduate in Information Technology preferably from engineering background
    Relevant certification in web technologies
    Professional Certification in Server/Storage domain (MCSE/MCSA)
    Excellent understanding of IT Service Management and underlying Processes
