Past Experience located with development teams @ OEM or Tier1 Suppliers

Summary   
As Senior Designer in the appropriate Design Group this position supports the Customer Business Units by providing design investigation, analysis, feasibility studies and CAD design for new components or products using customer-supplied background data.  This position is responsible for creating the required components / assemblies to completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
Manage Customer Data
Perform Design Reviews through on line media.
Ability to create drawings and apply GD&T concepts to components
Support sales and RFQ activities with design (SOR, SOW)
Confer w/customer as needed to discuss design problem areas, ensuring product meets all requirements
Use/manage customer specific CAD program(s) for 3D modeling, drafting techniques and engineering terminology
Familiar w/the applicable product materials and production processes
Continuous improvement of design activity
Other duties as assigned

Education / Experience 
Associates or Bachelors degree in design or 10 years experience
Progressive work experience and proven CAD software proficiency
Previous experience with carpet and acoustic commodities is a plus

Language Ability 
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals
Ability to communicate with other groups, either written or verbal, is required
Ability to effectively present information to management and give detailed instructions to other designer
Math Ability
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts

Reasoning Ability 
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form

Computer Skills 
Internet software, PowerPoint, Email
Proficient with customer specific product data management software and CAD software required
