Assistant IT Manager for Nepal

We are looking Assistant Manager - Security Architecture & Communication.

Qualification: - BE/B. Sc(IT)/BCA/MCA, Information Security certification

Experience : - 10+ years

JOB PURPOSE AND KEY RESULT AREAS :

a. Job Purpose:

To execute IT strategy in the area of Security Architecture and Communication by implementing and maintaining Security architecture and communication solutions

b. Key Result Areas:

1. Delivery of identified strategies in Security Architecture and Communication domain
2. Achievement of service levels in maintenance of existing solutions in Security Architecture and Communication
3. Adherence to processes, SOP, policies, procedures of IT delivery, identify loopholes and work on the same
4. Effective cost management in allocated areas
5. Participation and adherence to governance framework and manage non-compliances
6. Capability development of own team members

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Strategic:

IT Strategy Formulation

• a. Input into IT plan through research on new technologies and products and evaluate their suitability for SNPL's requirements
• b. Benchmark own IT security solutions vis-a-vis industry best practices

2. Operational :

• a. Analyze and define Security Architecture and Communication needs after discussion with business and IT Head; consolidate findings and create the business case for the Infrastructure / Networking project
• b. Define technical solutions to business problems and put together the business case for them; recommend infrastructure products, network products, services, protocols, and standards
• c. Evaluate the IT infra requirements for Security Architecture and Communication; provide a rolling forecast to IT Infra team
• d. Align upgrade / maintenance schedule with IT infra schedules
• e. Create security policy for the organization.
• f. Mitigate security threats by external intelligence; Evolve preventive and remediation security procedures and policies
• g. Create unified communication strategy; implement communication policy and integrate with security framework

• h. Manage license entitlements, actual usage for Security Architecture and Communication
• i. Monitor implementation of security
  administration procedures for any actual or potential risk/breach / threat in security. Ensure that all identified breaches in security are promptly and thoroughly
  investigated and address the same through recommendations for changes
• j. Ensure procurements are in line with organization security norms
• k. Provide inputs on vendor selection strategies through the lens of Security
• l. Track Security architecture and communication systems budgets and ensure that expenditure and resources are monitored. In case of deviations, escalate promptly to Manager - IT Solutions and Procurement with proposed solutions
• m. Report periodically on the status of the different security and communication systems equipment and current efficiency parameters and other IT performance metrics
